Sadly I fear you may be right be right about your first point. But I hope they decide to carry on with him.

While Goldikova hasn't run to her very best yesterday it is not right that she "did not run near her best". The trainer said she was in the form of her life and she's run a very good race. Paco will have run right up to his best form (perhaps beyond it) to give her a scare.
