Just to add that last year the entries for at least the championship races were released the day after they closed.

Thanks archie, you reminded me I kept a record last year of when entries were published and actually they were often spread over two days eg the first week the CGC entries were released on the Wednesday and the QMCC and the Ryanair on the Thursday. Just for the record these were my notes, bear in mind they are last year's dates but they give you an dea of which day on the relevant week they appear. There's details of other races too eg the Betfair Hurdle and the GN.

Only received about half the predicted rainfall of 35mm in the last few days, going currently soft, heavy in places on all the courses including the CC,not a lot of rain forecast in the next seven days relatively speaking.

Raw video feed Nicky Henderson taking questions from the press about his Cheltenham prospects.

https://www.starsportsbet.co.uk/nicky-henderson-open-day/

Watched this through recently.

I thought the media guys gave Nicky a very easy time of it. Probably too scared to ask a searching question in they're never allowed back but I would have wanted to know more about Santini for starters.

I would have asked where he rated relative to Nicky's other Gold Cup winners, Might Bite, etc. I would have wanted to know why, if he was always regarded as a serious Gold Cup horse, didn't he go for the Hennessy off 163. He might just have said he wasn't ready (which would have been evidenced by his unimpressive return to action) but it would have been worthwhile asking the question. I would also have asked what 4yos are still with Henrietta Knight but due to return soon. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if his statement that he doesn't really have anything for the Triumph, which he said more than once, was a precursor to an impressive introductory run by something in the next few days. Or even an unimpressive one that just happens to go on and take its place in the Triumph on the day.

Has Paul Nicholls done his media day?

If this forecast is anywhere near accurate, anything other than heavy ground is very unlikely.

I’d argue the contrary DO. The percentage chance of rain on most of those days is less than 20 percent and on some days less than 5 percent. It looks as though it’ll be showers passing over mainly.

I started a new thread on the going and a BBC 2 week forecast predicts the same, minimal rainfall.

I'd take any forecasts with a massive pinch of salt guys.
We've had shitloads of rain here since September, and the forecasters just cannot get it right week to week trust me.
Planning a weekly fourball has been a complete and utter lottery.

I hope it goes badly...........that way, I won't have to back him in the X-C like some robot, fanboy, wanker.
