We’re going for Morebattle hurdle day and also 8th May. Steven, who used to be in our racing club is racecalling on Morebattle day He was there last time we went but it took me all afternoon to find him because I thought he’d be in a warm cosy box somewhere but he was actually sat in the stands exposed to the elements! We usually spend the day at the last fence; we’ve done it for so many years now we’re pals with the first aiders so if, at our age, we get taken ill we’re in safe hands. We love it there. Our dog was featured on their Facebook page last year. It’s one of the few racetracks where we can take her and they make such a fuss of her. Early bird tickets are only £10 so if we can’t get there for any reason we haven’t lost much. Mikes known Adams dad for decades so we love it when he does well. We spend half the year at my place in Derby and the other half at his in Bamburgh.
