Thoughts with the horses that got hurt. That aside I think this year has shown a couple of things. You can still get decent ground in a National. Secondly given that 4 of the first 6 had S.p's of 20/1 plus and the winner had done nothing but drift since winning the Bobby jo it goes to prove even with the changes to the race, the fences being made safer it is still is a unique test and a bit of a lottery I personally would've struggled to narrow the field down to 20 possibles and Nick Rockett wasn't amongst them even having won one of the key trials.

Whether the experts like it or not this race can still be a bit of a lottery.

National aside Deep Cave is being called some names in my house tonight. After I'd given that horses numerous chances at big prices I'm just left wondering, How the hell !
