The 2025 Rosebery Handicap

Fret ye not, haters, I'm not starting any more after this one this week, but this is one of a trio of historic handicaps on Saturday and I couldn't leave it out.

I haven't had a bet yet as there are 23 entered and presumably only 14 can run plus I want to see the actual weights for this one tomorrow.

When I looked at the weights earlier today, once they were confirmed, I decided the two I like in this are Teumessias Fox and Real Dream.

The former is now back down to only a pound higher than when clobbering Max Vega over 1m4f here 14 months ago and, with Oisin Murphy booked, he seems a likely runner and I can't see him going off at the current best price of 10/1.

Real Dream, possibly riskier as not yet jocked up, isn't badly handicapped either, though his best form so far seems to me to be on Turf.

He has won over 1m4f here, so acts on Polytrack, but that was off a 16lb lower mark almost two years ago and this is a completely different ask.

20/1 would be fair - IF you knew he was actually going to run!
