"Bubbles" and "Desiree" - wonderful. They remind me of when I went to a fat farm myself, back in the 1980s. I weighed a helluva lot less than I do now, but wanted all the nice treatments like mud baths and massages, as well as dumping the odd few pounds. There was the most enormous American woman there. She was only around 5' 5" tall, and weighed 30 stone. She was so fat, her arms stuck out beside her like a penguin's flippers. Her English husband, probably 10 stone wringing wet, was along for the 'cure', and it was surprising that both were only in their 30s. (Well, not about the Yank, I realized, when I visited Disney World later, and found you had to weigh 200 lbs. at any age, just to be admitted.)
Anyway, the fattie wriggled herself - or most of herself - into a chair by the saunas one morning, and a nice old chap, recuperating post-op, sat beside her. He smiled pleasantly at her and said in a conversational tone, "Good morning, my dear. Lovely here, isn't it? So, how much weight are you hoping to lose?" She looked extremely cross and snapped, "I'm not here to lose any weight! I'm here for a rest!" I had to leave before I wet myself (another 'Little Britain' joke) - the poor old boy was left speechless.
