I will take-on the larcenous Puffin Billy with Henderson's Whisper.

Dai Walters horse gets this trip really well, and a 20L defeat to At Fishers Cross last October, doesn't look too shabby given subsequent events at the spring Festivals. Having won a Bumper on Good, Whisper may have found the deep ground over the winter not particularly to his liking, and today's quicker surface might see him improve a bit on what he's shown.
Also in his favour is that Henderson's yard also continues in good form, whereas it's established fact that Sherwood couldn't train butter to melt in a hot pan.

There are too many positives about Whisper to ignore the 4/1 being offered.

I'll give Art Professor one last chance to do me a favour in the handicap hurdle, and the unexposed Easter Meteor as a sporting option in a field of hard-to-win-with types.

What I do with Goulanes will depend largely how much I've had to drink by that stage. :D

would go a way to find worse handicapped horses than the top two in the silver trophy. would be against both of them.

Yes. I put Champion Court up in the will win thread yesterday but also think Ghizao is overpriced. I'm not a layer but if I was Menorah would be a tank job off 169 at Cheltenham. Lots of money on Betfair for Easter Meteor this morning.

Personally I'll be following P HOBBS horses - he's had a quiet season but often does well at this meeting (I'll definitely be backing the Bowen horses as well).

Followed you Grassy, fell asleep and woke up to a bigger Betfair bank.....thanks

 Grass

thought this was a thread for Newmarket ;)

EC1, clearly, if the thread was going to be about Newmarket, I would have called it "The Craven Meeting, and had much shabbier clothes and a smaller penis whilst I was going about it.

No room on this manly Jumps thread for a trumped-up Llewellyn-Bowenesque flamers, simmo....off you trot to the Guineas thread. :p

Once Punchestown is over and hibernation sets in, will look forward to hearing from you Grassy and the other serious jump merchants on here come late September.

I will be buried deep in the F1 thread during the summer, granger.....though I obviously plan to throw cheap-shots at clivex in the Chit-Chat section too. As for the Racing forum, I plan on having a long nap between Punchestown and the Kerry Nash.

The next few racing months are best left to the Morlocks.

Shame that ,as was hoping youd join me at Perth next weekend Grassy, thats after Ayr this weekend and the great Punchestown and Market Rasen Summer Plate meeting to come

Liking the card today but some difficult handicaps to judge. How confident are you Roddy on Big Time Billy!?!? I like Tara Rose in the 14.35 and I think each way is a bet to nothing as at the weights it should have the beating of Violin Davies who I don't think can win off that weight.

I smell a JP/Jonjo plot with quantitiveasing but in the same race at similar big price is according to trev who is highly thought of by Twiston Davies and severely disappointed at the festival.

In the lucky last I'm going for another who disappointed last time out and I think could win despite being top weight, Arthur's Pass. Top jockey and trainer combination and I am hoping the favourite will disappoint after winning last week despite turning out before the penalty.

It will be interesting to see if the JP/Henderson plot attracts cash

Sorry, quite right to point out it's Henderson not Jonjo. Still, looks to be off an interesting mark, 10lbs below last winning mark at Cheltenham in Dec 11...

I like the look of 1159 in the Mares Hurdles. She's not exactly been highly tried this year, and I'll put her in an ew double with Sam Whinner who surely must still be 2 stone well in (acc to PFN).

First time Cedre Bleu came to my attention was when he hacked up against the highly thought of Titan De Sarti. It came as a bit of a shock when Spirit Son made him look like a mule in his next outing but PN was far from dismayed stating his charge was a top class chaser in the making.

He started off well winning his first chase but then PN threw him straight into a grade 1 which was far more than he could handle. He had one more run over hurdles and was then put away. He came back and after a good 4th behind Sizing Santiago won 2 of his next 3 chases and was really unlucky not to have won all 3.

His career seems to be heading in the right direction and he looks well capable of scoring again. He's only gone up 4lbs since beating the talented Petite Rose and I see nothing in this race as good as her

If Quantitativeeasing is a JP plot I'll eat my hat he's a c*** of a horse and you simply couldn't trust him to do the business even if he was 120% fit. Nagpur would probably prefer softer ground but he could still go very close as he's running into form at the right time.

Nicky Henderson should land a double with Ma Filleule and Fabrika but Thanks For Coming looks to have too much on his plate against the improving Velator who will take some beating in the last.
