Anyone excited about these ? I doubt it- except perhaps Simon Mapletoft. Looking at the qualifiers for the six races hardly sends shivers of excitement down the spine. The money would have been much better spent on the Craven meeting.

No reason why the meeting couldn't have been on Easter Monday but for Racing for Change or whatever they are called now deciding to take away GF without consultation or consideration for those who work in the industry.

i dont mind the a.w. the caliber of horses is getting better every year, but for me it should just be used in the winter and the odd night meeting, what a joke it is that the flat turf season started saturday and there hasn't been a meeting since. p.s. they should blow up southwell, it's a disgrace 50% of the runners are out of the race after a furlong and the races are shite, nothing seems to move gracefully on that surface.

Southwells different class as a betting medium, the worst thing about the aw is the other tracks aren't fibresand I've made more money from the months of October last year to the present than I have in 13 years of betting fulltime in a complete year!!

I expect all the owners with horses who are going to run there are pretty excited - you're on such a downer about everything ardross, you really need to go and get laid....

Good Friday racing has been threatened for years. Bit of a bugger, but as quite a few of the staff I know hate open days there won't be much shortage of volunteers to go!
