The Bee Gees

The Scissor Sisters sound remarkably like them.
Only during the period when Elton John was hanging out of the back of one of them and Lulu was routinely being "vigorously ridden out" the back of the studio.

When singing 'you can tell by the way I walk I'm a woman's man' in castrati tones... hard to beat for sheer comedy.

following on from Kri's line "no time to talk" and then they continue singing. Would be more apt if it went "you can tell by the way I walk i'm a womans man, lots of time to talk"

I am of the opinion that, whilst Euronymous is correct in saying that they are not the Beach Boys (I'm fairly certain that they're not the Mamas and Papas either), their music has stood the test of time and will remain timeless until such time as it doesn't. Or does.

I nominate J-J-J-Jive Talkin' as their best song.

They have some of the best songs of all time. After a shandy or two at the office Christmas party their music comes into its own.

I'll say! The minute 'Dancing Queen' is played, everyone capable of locomotion is pronking around.

Oh, that's another good tune to get people doing silly things: "C'mon ev'rybodyyyy, do the lo-co-mo-shun... " (arms doing piston rod motions).

If i`m pissed at a christmas party and fancy a dance (like ****) the aforementioned Beach Boys and Abba, The Kinks, The Who and various Motown artists are more likely to get me on my feet.

"How deep is your love?" was the first song I ever had a smooch too.

Before anyone tries to work out my age, I would hasten to add I was only two at the time. ;)

No offence Kathy, but there's no way that you are the same age as me (or possibly slightly younger  ).
