Amid all the posing, posturing and loveying a Brit brought the Academy down to earth for just a moment. Andrea Arnold, from Dartford, when presented with the "best live action short" award for her film "Wasp" said: "The beers are on me when I get home. As we say in English this was the dog's bollocks."

Andrea - you were brilliant!
 
I would like to give a mention to Halle Berry for being the first person since Tom Green in 2002 to turn up for her Razzie and giving an hysterical acceptance speech.
