There has been quite a heated debate in the household about someones participation in the cooking field which has led to a few arguments so I was prepared to open up a thread on Talking Horses to start sharing any meals we can cook, any useful websites or other general cooking related information.

I have always wanted to cook something that can last a few days, I have a preference for chicken or steak and avoid all things spicy.

You cant go wrong if you have Nigella's How to Eat receipes - her Victoria Sponge is perfection and the Yorkshire Puddings are sublime!

I do a homemade bolognese sauce that I use for spag bol, pasta bake (put one pack of fresh pasta ie penne into an ovenproof dish then mix in the sauce - i usually do four large ladles) or even use it in a cottage pie :) It freezes really well too. 1kg of Waitrose 10% lean mince can do one pasta bake plus two generous serving of sauce left over.

Just going around this womans' website and so far I've come across Nutella Cheesecake and Marmite Pasta.

Worth a go, I guess?

Alternative to bolognese is Jamie Olivers tomato and rosemary sauce in a jar with minced lamb.
