Are you ready for the change? We are gradually moving towards singularity. A'world' where very inquisitive and inquiry prone humans are ushering in the age of super intelligent beings; able to decipher ‘singularity.’ A latest Pew report suggests that Religion is waning, unaffiliated are waxing.
It looks very likely that obsolete dogma will breathe its last sighs very soon. Mankind will break the crutches of ideological underpinnings that have influenced us so far.

Worldwide, more than eight-in-ten people identify with a religious group. A comprehensive demographic study of more than 230 countries and territories conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life estimates that there are 5.8 billion religiously affiliated adults and children around the globe, representing 84% of the 2010 world population of 6.9 billion.
The three largest groups are Christians (32% of the world’s population), 1.6 billion Muslims (23%), (1.1 billion, or 16%) have no religious affiliation.
The demographic study – based on analysis of more than 2,500 censuses, surveys and population registers – finds 2.2 billion Christians (32% of the world’s population), 1.6 billion Muslims (23%), 1 billion Hindus (15%), nearly 500 million Buddhists (7%) and 14 million Jews (0.2%) around the world as of 2010. In addition, more than 400 million people (6%) practice various folk or traditional religions, including African traditional religions, Chinese folk religions, Native American religions and Australian aboriginal religions. An estimated 58 million people – slightly less than 1% of the global population – belong to other religions, including the Baha’i faith, Jainism, Sikhism, Shintoism, Taoism, Tenrikyo, Wicca and Zoroastrianism, to mention just a few.
A new study by the Pew Forum finds that roughly one-in-six people around the globe (1.1 billion, or 16%) have no religious affiliation. This makes the unaffiliated the third-largest religious group worldwide, behind Christians and Muslims, and about equal in size to the world’s Catholic population.
Overwhelmingly, Hindus and Christians tend to live in countries where they are in the majority. Fully 97% of all Hindus live in the world’s three Hindu-majority countries (India, Mauritius and Nepal), and nearly nine-in-ten Christians (87%) are found in the world’s 157 Christian-majority countries.
Though by smaller margins, most Muslims (73%) and religiously unaffiliated people (71%) also live in countries in which they are the predominant religious group. Muslims are a majority in 49 countries, including 19 of the 20 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The religiously unaffiliated make up a majority of the population in six countries, of which China is by far the largest. (The others are the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hong Kong, Japan and North Korea.)
Robert Sawyer said that as we now use computers as tools for research, Moore’s Law should apply to scientific accomplishment. ‘Application of the Moore’s law and the rate of scientific advancement as it doubles with the computer power rate that is applied to research, it is most likely that the whole 20th century’s worth of scientific advancement can be accomplished in next few years by 2015. Doubling rate means we will accomplish a century’s work in 2.5 years, subsequently 1.25 years, 7.5 months, 3 months and 3 weeks, less than two months, one month, two weeks, one week, then 3.5 days, 1.75 days.’ Very soon we should be accomplishing a century’s worth of research every day, and two weeks later, every second. At that point we may be able to define singularity.
This knowledge will help break the bondage and freeing oneself from the shackles and chains of ignorance is the ultimate liberty; those watching finally set free from confines of destructive creed. The Singularity is defined by Ray Kurzweil as an era where technology will create super intelligence.
General Relativity deals with very large and Quantum mechanics with very small. Atoms and Universe are explained by Quantum mechanics and General Relativity respectively. Laws that govern nature still remained to be deciphered, nature is smarter than we are, and how quantum mechanics and gravity can live together we still don't understand.
Quantum mechanics and General Relativity are quite incompatible. At the center of black hole and at the beginning of time lies the singularity. The whole universe is the product of singularity which is only possible at the beginning of the time and inside the black hole. Singularity is when we don't know what to do - where our understanding of the nature breaks down. The whole Universe is spinning around super massive black holes. A black hole around which our Galaxy revolves is 100 times the mass of our Galaxy. Our whole Galaxy revolves around one of these black holes.
These black holes like our Sun in the solar system are at the center of our Milky Way. Singularity is astronomically heavy and infinitesimally small. We need to find Quantum Gravity. Possibly it is theoretically possible that we may solve the singularity of the center of the black hole, we may solve the mystery of the beginning of time. A 'world' of super intelligent beings able to decipher ‘singularity’ is difficult to predict. I like the Gods of singularity!
Ceaseless infinite ‘Connectivity’ that the internet brings is a death knell to close-mindedness, creed and dogma!
The last century was fraught with wars and went through its own destructive evolutionary process of mass bloodshed; we humans realized that nothing is better than peaceful co-existence. Lessons from history have taught us that progress in life is about construction, creative productive ideas, and love of mankind, and not about religious ideologies or medieval practices, wars and disasters.
Modern world has no room for disagreements and hatred. Our genetic model is based on that. Mankind is a great big orchestra where each man is a conductor playing the symphony of love. It is scripted within all of us. I always say if you want to ignite a fire make sure you have an extinguisher nearby. Don’t ignite fires which you cannot handle. Swallow your conceit and co-habit — that is the way forward for mankind.
In 1842, the English poet Lord Alfred Tennyson, published the often-quoted lines (“Locksley Hall”):
For I dip into the future, far as human eye could see
Saw a Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be
till the war-drum throbb’d no longer and the battle-flags were furled
In the Parliament of man, the Federation of the world. There the common sense of most shall hold a fretful realm in awe And the kindly earth shall slumber leapt in universal law.
