So is De Sousa a shoe in now ? I see he's going to Wolverhampton for seven rides on Tuesday, ignoring the three quarters of a million prize money up for grabs at Goodwood, which means he's taking it seriously.

Right ?

His interview in the RP a few week back had a bit about how devastated he was to miss out on it in 2011
So I would say he definitely wants it.

Having lost the Godolphin job winning the Championship is very very high on his radar no doubt.
It is needed for him to pick up another top retainer in the future and best of luck to him.
For all that the fact he is going to Wolverhampton shows how dumbed down the new "Championship " is.

Has it not always been the way that the bread and butter racing is where the championships are won though?
I remember being a bit miffed that on 2011 champions day Paul Hanagan was at Catterick but I realise now it's the way it's got to be.
