The Green Monkey Retired To Stud!

I'm not very often stumped for something to say...

What sort of people would use a stallion like that? it beggars belief

I don't belieevve it!

The breeders Hartley/De Renzo have bought back into the horse and will partner with John Magnier.

Appears the stud fee will be around $5,000. They are expecting the horse to cover 125 to 150 mares in 2009.

If the horse is sucessful at stud he will move to Coolmore/Ashford.

Maybe they're hoping the class will skip a generation or something...

anyhow, he is pretty...

(I'm clutching at straws aren't I).

It's not exactly skipping a generation as he was bought at a breeze up sales and obviously showed he had talent. Equally obviously he went very wrong thereafter. I'd pay $5000 for him as a gamble rather than paying $5000 for something that was proven to be limited (not that I'd pay anything for anything in reality, you understand).
