The dogs have been barking for her for some time. The race at the weekend had most of her potential rivals finishing in a heap including stablemate Dolcita. Willie has targeted her at Limerick rather than a harder prep, and now has a perfect line on the opposition from Dolcita. It couldn't have worked out better for them.
Im happy enough to hold tight on her anyway. First race in 2 years in horrendous ground with Townend way wide all the way round looking for better ground.
They clearly knew she needed that, and that's exactly what you wanted to hear from Willie afterwards. Worth bearing in mind all of the horses he's likely to aim at the graded races at the Festival have needed their first run this season, and she's no exception. You'd be more worried if she didn't!
