The starter.

Can't help but think some horses will lose all chance at the start of their race if the last week is anything to go by.

Time for a conspiracy theory :p if one of the main hopes is fizzed up, someone will deliberately "create" a restart from a standing position. They wouldn't would they ? :ninja:

I know 2 of the Starters that will be on duty this week - wouldn't want their job for love nor money!

Conspiracy theory.
When The Guildford Four were released from prison Cahervillohow was left at the start of the National Hunt Hcap Chase won by Seagram at much the same time.
A false start was not called despite Charlie Swan's pleading; this at a time when Irish winners were as rare as hens' teeth.
Oh the old enemy for you !!!

I was watching a race today and thinking about this there would be 12 runners maybe and the starter got them off perfectly without a problem which is almost always the case.

For some reason they messed it up at Sandown but I can't see that happening at Cheltenham.....Don't think there's been a bad start there this season so far.

I think you're right with your theory DG. I'd expect that tactic to be employed in 3 races in particular. The QM against Mr Mole, The Arkle against UDS and the Triumph against Peace & Co.

If I was a jockey with a brain, this is absolutely what I would be thinking. It's ridiculous making animals stand still all bunched up when the exact opposite has been asked off for the previous whatever time build up to the start.
