The Post Office - No Wonder They Have A

I wanted to put in a serious complaint to The Post Office about a redirection cock up and tried their website to get their contact details but the whole site was down! Luckily, I managed to get their phone number from another site and when I told them the site was down, the girl said "I know, we are doing some upgrade work".

How many major companies do you know that take their whole website down during normal working hours to upgrade???? :rolleyes:

None, but they'll all tell you it's being upgraded when it crashes.
 
Far more likely Simmo, but wouldn't you think they would have a back up server perhaps?
 
About a year ago we started getting our post at around 6pm or later...turned out the postman was having an affair with the married mother of 3 a few doors away... :)
 
May not necessarilly have been the post office's fault Kathy. Quite often those lovely people at BT manage to hack through a main trunk route causing untold damage to both phone exchanges and websites for major lients. You would be surprised how many times it happens.
