Fascinating documentary on CH4 right now.

Imagine growing up a sensitive, artistic young man and being sent to the Navy by your father.

It`s amazing to think how the young royals got a free run in terms of the gossip columns as well.
 
Very interesting programme. He was obviously too bright for the ghastly grind of royal rounds, and what a shame that he wanted to offer so much more than he was allowed to. The programme following on was also very interesting - Prince Edward and Mrs Simpson were ardent admirers of Nazism, hence their unpopularity within the royal (Saxe-Coburg-Gothas until 1917 forced a rethink!) family, and exile to the Bahamas, were Eddie was Governor.
