When you wake up in the morning, can you ever say your happy with where your life is?
Considering that I change my mind about 12 times a day over whether I'm happy pr not, it depneds, really!!!!

Have you ever done anything with full knowledge that it will hurt a friend, and then hidden it from them?

This is a tricky story to tell in writing so bear with me. On the eve on the 2002 Stayers Hurdle I was par-taking in a late drink with two mates (persons D + C). In all hones,t we were all hammered. A conversation started about a friend of mine (person B. I mentioned how B had said that D was acked from his previous job. Now D had a disliking for B anyway but this was the straw that broke the camels back. He asked for direction to my good friend B house. I gave them.

The next thing I remember is answering the phone. B was the other line getting sick up in the hostipal were he was recieving stiches. D had got a taxi, asked the taxi driver to wait. Went into the house where B was sleeping and slapped him round the place, then got in the taxi and went home.

I denied all knowledge...

I don't know how anyone could deliberately set out to hurt a friend, let alone then try to hide it from them. I usually manage to hurt them right to their face, with my innate sensitivity and tact:

"Do you think this colour suits me, Jon?"

"What? With a face the colour of an overcooked ham? Are you mad?" Ooops...

Hmm, it was a tad brutal, I suppose, but I think my suggestion that you consider buying elevator shoes was jolly helpful, non?
