Bad rides or just plain unlucky should make for some healthy debate.

I actually considered putting this one into the non triers but:-

Bad ride of the day and one that really should have won was Robert Winston on Breden

His mount the 2.1 fav came out the stalls he immediately starts posting (Bum Bumping)

Then when the horse respond and gets into a good position just behind the front 3 he takes a pull for some unknown reason and drops him back to last where he would have been without the posting DUH!!!

What's hard to understand is when he won on him last time he sat up the leaders backside never letting him out of his sight and easily picked him off

Here he takes a pull and is bang last, the very worst position possible at Lingfield and the horse never had a chance

Should win soon if running again off the same mark

Just checked this out ,Fist, as it cost me a nice double.
Robert Winston reported he was hampered leaving the stalls (it's clear from the replay the horse became unbalanced, and took a while for RW to settle him). To add to his troubles it became a stack & sprint contest (sectionals show he ran the last 3f in a quick 33.2secs) so it was never going to suit a horse coming from his position, particularly one that had won over 2f further.
Bad luck, rather than an injudicious ride, imo.
