In my car driving down to Cheltenham semi aroused at the thought of the next 4 days

Finishing work at 230 on Monday -off for the week.Plan to do a good bit of walking and swimming this week, definitely go for a massage on Saturday-maybe Friday as well.Want to be relaxed with a game plan this time next week.
I think it's important to have a plan in your head and be in a good place mentally. Will probably restrict the drinking to Thursday and Friday night.

Love the week before....when its upon us it's over.....just like Xmas

When I was younger I used to drive up on the Sunday before to see the place before it all kicked off..used to be Irish horses everywhere settling in

How sad eh?

Sitting in The Plough in Prestbury, saying "We'll go after this one, eh?"

Brilliant. My worst ever experience of a Cheltenham related hangover was the day Anzum won the Stayers Hurdle.I had been backing him for weeks in doubles and trebled with everything I fancied.
About a week before the race I decided See More Business would win the Gold Cup.Woke up with the hangover from hell-set about winning a small fortune with Anzum as the centrepiece -for no logical reason I wrote down Florida Pearl instead of SMB.I don't like thinking about how much I cost myself that day.

A bit of what most seem to be doing,

at home, on the pc with a semi, drinking some cold ones, making strange neighing noises from time to time. ;)

readying myself for the daytrip on the weds. one day is perfect i always think

at this time usually watching the replays...so much to take in at the festival

I 'should' be in The Plough with Frontrunner, Grassy, OTB, Roddy Zongalero, Vodkatini, et al, but unfortunately I'll be in Sydney as work has got in the way for the third year running.

Fortunately the racing channels here show the racing live, but the time difference means I'll survive on about 1 hours sleep a night through Festival week!
