Just a suggestion, but wondering if we could do with a bit of tidying-up? Main reason is that the'Gold Cuppin' thread is likely to end-up covering two seasons at this rate, and maybe it would be best to create a new thread for this season? Personally, I always liked the 'Road to...' threads, as they were created per-season, and it was always easier to use them to locate previous/historical posts on important races, that way.

Forum Gold is also anaemic, and should really showcase some of the superb dialogue we have had in here over the last several years. It's my heartfelt view that - in the age of Twitter competition - archiving some of these threads, would commit some of these discussions to an easily-accessible location, that might encourage lurkers to read (and hopefully post) more?

Natch, the 2011 and 2013 Championship Hurdle threads should feature highly in any decision to Iron Mountain precious discussions, with the 2012 and 2014 threads sent to the fiery furnace of Internet neverland.
 
I'll create a new Gold Cup thread and move the most relevant posts into it as a start, then see what I can do about the archive. There's a gap between April and July so I'll start with granger's post about Coneygree on the mend.

edit..... Right that's done and the Gold Cuppin thread has been renamed 2016 Gold Cuppin and as the last post on it was in April it's a long way back. It can be found here

Fonz, what would be the point in waiting until it's over, before having a pop?

Besides, it was only a very mild one anyway.
