Cracking card tomorrow at my local track for the courses best day of the year. An 8 race card featuring the Grade 2 Mares novice chase, a 2m7f novice hurdle and the Kinloch Brae Chase, a race Don Cossack took last year before claiming the blue ribbon of NH racing last March.

Mullins should take the first two divisions of the 2m novice hurdle with Timi Roli & Al Boum Photo but each way chances can be given to Allardyce & Lachares in both races.

The 1.10 novice hurdle is a super race and Gordon Elliott can take this for the second year with The Storyteller 3/1.

Sub Lieutenant will take my money to get back to winning ways again in the Kinloch Brae chase while Ruby should again be in the winners enclosure after Westerner Lady claims the feature.

The last race, a hunter chase, features some real stalwarts in On His Own, Salsify, First Lieutenant & Foxrock!

Looking forward to a great days racing.

Strange tactics in the Lexus considering he was a likely non-stayer. I have BH, SJ and SB in my ante-post book for the Ryanair so really don't want to see Smashing do all three of them.

Sub Lieutenant is currently my only bet for the Ryanair ,but was mildly disappointed with the run in the John Durkan. Probably his best performance from a form perspective, but he just didn’t jump as slickly to my eye as he’d done in the previous couple for HdB. I’ve not backed him (yet) for today, but hope he goes very close

The novice looks very interesting. Think Battelford is the most likely winner but Some Neck has to be the bet at 6/1

Love the Hunters Chase but not a betting race for me

As discussed on the Pointing thread, the 11/8 about Foxrock in the hunter chase was huge. Still evens available in places.

The Kinloch Brae is an excellent looking race but a watching one only for me with a view to March as I'd be keen to take on Un De Sceaux there - if he runs.

Have always thought he was a real nice horse

He was chasing an absolute superstar over a trip designed not to show him at his best

I cannot wait to see him coming alive up that hill

I agree. Had my first cash ante post bet for this year's festival straight after the race, took the 14s with Victor.

Great racing there today though i missed the first three.
Head of Supreme Racing told me 340 horses (yes 340!!) were there Tuesday for schooling bumpers.
Great to see so many good horses run there and extra special was Salsify getting to his feet after a last fence fall in Hunters Chase.

A great day there today, thoroughly enjoyable and some great finishes. I really fancied The Storyteller and Jack Kennedy gave him a fantastic ride to prevail. Had a rather large bet on him and had him with Western Lady too so that really made the day. He really is a nice horse and is no doubt festival bound now.

The Kinloch Brae had an exciting finish too with SJ just holding off SL. It's a pity the last had to bypassed as they were really going some clip down to it.

Al Boum Photo & Foxrock were other good winers on the day. Henry De Bromhead's Surf Instructor will make some chaser. He is huge.
