I have two or three of these running in EW trebles with King Rasko Grey. Can't remember who I did with who. And part of the fun is in not knowing. Chances of landing them are perceived as slim. But you never know. Not sure about Matata, will have to take a view just before the race. Ace Of Spades has been a big hope for some time now.

Cheltenham

1.20 Echoing Silence/White Noise

2.00 Sixmilebridge/ Moon Rocket (if it's soft)

3.20 Impose Toi

4.00 Matata (if it's good, not sure if soft is really his ground over 2.5)

4.40 Ace Of Spades Ike Sport and Duke Silver might be worth small interests

5.20 Weveallbeencaught But he already let me down badly for 4 figures once this season. Cliff horse! He has it...but will he show it?

Elsewhere

Several of the French runners are wild left field, may well leave them alone and watch for clues. There is one runner today who will present severe temptation to not only do my bollocks, but those of Jack the cat too. Normally, that turns out to be a big mistake. We shall see.

Mars Attack 11.07 Mont De Marsan Watch only (if 'televised')

Soldierstown 1.00 Limerick

Stone Eye 1.29 Chantilly

Fortunate Outcome 1.34 Lim

Ellistrin Bay 1.42 Hexham

Hottot 2.03 Chantilly

Masha 2.37 Chantilly

Golden Trip 3.45 Chantilly

Desert Quest 5.08 Newcastle

Wagyu Star 5.45 Newc Might scrape into the first 4 if a big enough price. It'll need to be massive - 66 at least. Almost certainly a race or two too early.

Y Y Star 6.30 Chelmsford

Giant 7.30 Ch

Finn Ironside 8.15 Newc

Best of luck, chaum. I'm hoping White Noise might out run the odds too.

The bollocks remain intact. Jack the Cat has been hiding, but has heard the sighs of relief and come down for a belated breakfast. There will be another day.

Fair gutted that Sixmile is out, that was going to be fun.

Home By The Lee looked too big at 48. A bet at the prices. Thought I had the RFC in the bag, too, with Kabral at the last.

A magic race! He even made a mistake about 2 out and still won it. 11, yes 11, years old. But this is just about the only race 11 year olds can win.

We do love a champion!

Edit PS The dog is still hiding, doesn't like the shouting :)

OK, couple of races to go on the AW, I'll catch up on those tomorrow. Oceans Five has drifted enough to make him interesting in the 8.00 at Chelmsford - will hold for a bit more. The other two noted earlier for this evening don't look backable at current prices.

Had a nice surprise just now logging into Hills - forgot I'd done 5 of Joseph O'Brien's in EW trebles and 4-folds a couple of weeks ago - including Zeus Power, Lee, and Kim Roque. If only Talk The Talk hadn't bombed, that would have been a singing and dancing surprise! It's always the shortest one!

Most other ante-post multiples are down the toilet. A few still to go tomorrow, but the x-figure win for this year doesn't look on unless I can pull something magical out of the hat. Tbf it hasn't been on for plenty of years now. Too many! Next year. Although I'll have a go tomorrow for giggles.

So, +173.38 coming into today.

Everything away from Cheltenham bombed, although Emperor Caradoc at 60 odd wasn't too far away at Newcastle a little while back.

Two winners at Cheltenham - +75 and +48

-11 other Cheltenham bets and a couple elsewhere, left France alone (fortunately).

Overall, +112 on the day

Running total now +285.38
