I am intrigued by Richard Hughes travelling from Doncaster to Kempton,I also think the booking for Harting Hill in the next is significant. The days profits have been chucked on ew at 4/1 guaranteed.

I don't as a rule -this would be the only one I would pay attention to on the flat in England.
Now 3.6 to lay on Betfair.

Very well noted, Luke, with a nice result for your observation powers. It's noting odd little things like that which can probably pay off better than some of the monster coups plotted from nine months out. Sweet.

Having read this thread which underlines the Hughes - Hannon capability I was drawn to Hughes appearance at Woverhampton in the second this evening on Bilko Pak. He duly won and it would seem sensible to be looking at similar engagements in the coming weeks.

Terrific stuff, wasn't it? Only a Claimer, but rode it like it was the Derby. Smoothly through a gap, onto the rails, and I thank you! The partnership seems to have brought out well-nigh invincible results for both rider and trainer, regardless of ratings or race class.

No credit to me. I just benefitted from following the reasoning from Luke.

Wifes away for the weekend and my six year old daughter was bleeding me dry about that time.Well done -Hughes is obviously still trying-and rightly so.
I thought the Buick ride was very good-managed to see it just before the Disney channel went on.

Two wins and a decent place from the Hughes/ Hannon partnership so far:).
Hughes is quoted as saying he is going to make a determined effort to win the title and is certainly riding as if he is.

525 Curragh Velsego -no information but havent got time to type the reasons.Take any double figure price available.

Ox had a double last night and has a level stake profit of 20.75 in this race in recent years. Also VC cut price from 14 to 6 just as last race went off.

After a good afternoon at Goodwood the Hughes/Hannon team move to Kempton. First runner (Aurora Sky)against a short priced favourite. Wins well ridden.

Now the question is whether or not to back the pair with Lady Berta in the 7.00

VC cut the winner from 6/1 into 7/2 in one hit.

Krizon,
The answer is I didn't (cos the favourite looked too good.) but I have put 50% of today's profits on Hellbender in the last.

In terms of the coffers, up until July I was fully occupied with work so didn't see enough racing to get a good understanding of what to follow. Concentrated on handicaps and with more time on my hands have definitely been betting too often and without defined parameters. Result has been big streaks, both losing and winning, with large turnover. This week is pretty good and I am probably backing too heavily again. Must budget for the late Newnarket meetings.
Update:
9.00 Took almost 8's and bottled it by getting stake back at 4's. Couldn't watch the race but watched the betting thus when Hellbender went under 1.5 on Betfair thought I'd got it. Oh well. sStill have done well by picking up on Luke's thoughts. Will keep following Hughes for a while when I think
his mount has a chance.

Hughes is truly going for it - he is riding everywhere he can this week judging by the SL site.
