No. But VPU was ridden to win that race, he tried taking Master Minded on and paid the penalty. If Kumbeshwar had tracked SS or tried to he'd have finished nearer Kinkeel than the winner.

Horses that are ridden to place are always flattered by their proximity to outrageous winners. Just like Frankel's 2000 Guineas.
