Three held over cat in microwave

Three men have been arrested over the discovery of a cat's body in a microwave, where it had apparently been cooked alive.
The body of the female cat was found at a house on the Blue Hall estate, in Stockton, Teesside, on Boxing Day.

On Thursday, Cleveland Police said the three had been arrested and freed on police bail. More arrests are expected to follow, a spokeswoman said.

Meanwhile, the cat's litter of five kittens are being cared for.

They are expected to be rehomed in the new year.

Having worked in cat rescue for over seven years now, nothing surprises me. Personally I'd microwave all those responsible :angy:

Not the first creature to have suffered this fate, won't be the last. Why microwave mfrs. can't build the things to switch off if anything moves inside, I don't know. There's mischief to be made with almost every modern device - videocamming rapes and assaults just one other sorry example.

Names, addresses, photos in papers should be a must, and all pet shops and vets in the county should have a database of the filth's details, so that they can't repeat the fun. If we can ban certain types from entering racecourses on the basis of an old photo, it should be pretty damn easy to database animal torturers in the same way as the Police database criminals.

Probably pissed, and perhaps going to drown the kittens later. There was a guy in Staffordshire who shot a swan dead on a village pond. He had to move out of the neighbourhood because the people in the lovely little village where he lived, and who you wouldn't think for a moment would harm a fly, began to do very nasty things to his house, his car, and eventually to him. They would mincemeat this bunch.

Until there are tougher sentences for the evil ones, they'll carry on abusing animals. The Sun actually ran a campaign recently, highlighting the awful truth about our animal loving society. I hope it does some good and that finally those who commit these crimes can expect a bit more than a ten year ban from keeping animals.

They threw a cat on a bon fire in our part of the world.

A senegal parrot was microwaved when burglars could not find anything of real value in the house they had robbed, they did the aforementioned to the bird out of pure spite.

I believe they will meet their nemesis in the next life, it may not exist but it comforts me that it might, and I would like to be in charge of dishing out punishment, like sending them back as a fly to be caught in a spiders web, that type of stuff, bizarre yes, that is the way I am h:)

Not that I want to start anything, but did they mention foxes at all?

Actually Brian, funny you should mention that! I noted with interest the story that The Mirror saw fit to run as their headline story on the 27th - something along the lines that it was a disgrace that 2 Tory MPs had the cheek to publicly flout the law and go fox hunting on Boxing Day - shock, horror! They clearly neglected to mention that in nearly a year of hunting being outlawed there has not even been one case of illegal hunting investigated, let alone charges being brought. Oh, and I reckon that they miscounted - I strongly suspect that there were at least 3 Tory MPs (and probably a couple of Labour ones too) attending meets on Boxing Day!!

Make 'em go on a night out with you. I can think of nothing worse.
Brilliant, excellent, fantastic, Yes, they would not want to have a life after a night out with us, I would send them up the pylons with the words only one of the steel rods is safe to handle, your choice, guess, Oh what glee

I think that'd be very fair, to be honest. I really like the idea of taking these filths out onto Salisbury Plain and released, and then letting the Army use them for moving target practice. At least their lives would then serve some slightly useful purpose.

I don't remember. I think not, it was more aimed at the abuse suffered by domestic animals.

Wasn't it you who was bragging in another thread about riding on the backs of cows in the dead of night? :brows: Isn't that animal cruelty? Chances are those cows were pregnant and utterly terrified of you.
