Tomorrow Never Dies

Mo

you should be preparing the Festival but I see your are not an applied student and leave your homework until the last moment. :D

Watch Terri Hatcher in Desperate Housewives, still looks great and the programme itself is pretty good unlike that Bond crap!

I've never quite understood how some people can say Sean Connery is/was the best Bond. The guy has been totally wooden in every film he's ever been in. He is a total non-actor.

I always felt big Rog was a great Bond but I reckon Brosnan is head and shoulders above all of them.

In my opinion, it's no contest.

Suny, I really intended to study for tomorrow than Cheltenham, starting tonight, but even I have my human frailties - tonight's was Teri Hatcher.

Woooooof.

Maurice, an anagram of Teri Hatcher is 'rate the rich', so you have to have a few tiny bets on any horses which involve wordgames with her name. At least it'll give you a reason why you're doodling variations of her name when discovered by Mrs Mo... :)

Maybe Sean Connery isn't the greatest actor but films like From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, and my favourite, You Only Live Twice, were part of my childhood and I never tire of watching the repeats on Bank Holidays etc.

Each to his own...

I love the old Connery films. I reckon I have either the video or DVD of every Bond film (including 'Big Fry' Lazenby's OHMSS) but I stand by those quotes, Brian. I always felt RM was a great Bond because he came after those two planks and hammed the part up to the limit.

Brosnan took it to a different plane altogether.

Personally I think all James Bond movies are on a par with Elvis & Sinatra (also the rest of yon rat pack) - a load of piss. I didn't get where I am today by watching Bond movies or listening to the likes of Sinatra or Elvis. Neither Mrs HT nor I have ever watched a Bond movie or voluntarily listened to a Sinatra/Elvis number.

Is that a boast?

Neither Mrs HT nor I have ever watched a Bond movie

So how do you know they're p*ss? :)

That reminds me, my brother (movie editor) once claimed never to have seen a Bond film (or wish to see one) 'cos they were all cr@p.

Then he went to see one and raved about it for months (from a technical angle, obviously).

Crikey, he's speaking Veggish now! :D

HT: I thought of you this morning as I noshed a large Spanish omelette, reading a newspaper thoughtfully left in the caff which featured an article on why some people are best suited to being vegans, some vegetarians, and some omnivores. The theory is it's to do with our blood types, which can be traced to our ancient tribal habits. The more settled types raised grain, the more nomadic (which obviously didn't) relied on moving feasts - mainly moving on four legs, etc. I had to go and shop, so didn't manage to read the whole thing, but it's a theory I've heard of slightly before. Have you?

And on the Bond subject, may I say that Timothy Dalton is under rated. Roger Moore is without doubt the worst Bond, and I include David Niven in that. The only mitigating factor may be that the excessive tedency towards comedy perhaps didn't help. Oh yes, I remember, The Saint was p*sh an all, must just be him then.
