Anyone else noticed Tony's unusual whip action of late since the return of the flat?

On two fancied horses (Internationaldebut at Musselburgh on Friday and Brynffa Boy at Windsor today), Culhane was going well on both when 1-2f out and he seems to simply wave the whip at the animals without striking them.

I find the ones that drift in the betting and on the exchanges tend to respond poorly to the whip.

Laying Culhane drifters blindly is a dangerous game. Some ridiculous priced winners over the winter where the momentum traders and second guessers have pushed his mounts out to massive prices.
