I doubt whether very many have heard of her! She sang with Jimmy Dorsey in the 1940s when she had her major hit records (though sometimes listed as "Female vocalist"). She retired in 1943 and made a comeback in 1951 when she worked a lot on television and even had her own show for a while. She married four times and died of cancer in 1993 at the age of 73.
