Not a lot going on toady.

I've decided not to go to Fakenham today on account of the poor card on offer; it's a brave person who'd brave the cold and wet conditions to venture out for such meagre fare.

I could do one today. In the mares' handicap chase (1.55 Fakenham), I see just five runners and it shouldn't take an awful lot of winning. For that reason I look at the breeding of Micronomous and reckon he could win this on his chase bow. A 6yo with just six hurdle races under her saddle, this is bred to chase and connections have wasted very little time in turning to the biggies.

I backed her last night at 7/2 and by this morning, after the inevitable nr, the price has been shaved to a miserly 15/8 with the field down to just five - pathetic.

Still, I've backed her and hope she gives me a run.

Well, he got there in the end and very welcome, too. Mind you, that was a poor old contest wasn't it.

The 'toady' complex is down to my bloody sausage fingers: I'll never learn to type, me.

Cheers Al
