Something Kri said on the George Best topic got me thinking.

Which forumites have made TV appearances, however big or small?

I was on TV once, displaying my third place painting for the Texaco Art competition. As I was the youngest prizewinner I was asked to pick my own prize - I got a white poodle who I called Tufty, named after the subject of my painting, Rufty Tufty.

Just before I left London in 2002 I worked for a magazine.I managed to blag a press badge for Aintree that year.I made it my business to get on camera as much as possible over the 3 days-I think I made around 20 appearances.

I was interviewed on RTÉ around ten years ago when I was absolutely langered queueing up for the Trinity Ball.

I was a disgrace.

I also sat behind the European players for the first day of the Mosconi Cup in Bethnal Green which was televised by Sky Sports. I could be seen yapping and skulling pints.

Was on Jim'll Fix It with a friend when we were about 15. Got the badge somewhere to prove it :D

3½ times in a speaking rôle:

Twice on BBC Business Breakfast - but that doesn't count as hardly anyone is up that early in the morning, even those who have to deal with first lot.

Once interviewed by Tommo in the winner's enclosure at the Cheltenham Festival - no, I don't have the video but there are some sadder forum members who do.

The ½ was when I was a "Phone-a-friend" on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire".

I think that this is a very SAD thread!
I know you're only saying that because you are jealous of my Jim'll Fix It badge :P

Well I'm very jealous of your Jim'll Fix It badge - I wanted one but never had the courage to write in - had I done so it would have been to ride work on my 14.2 pony alongside Steve Cauthen. :D

I have been interviewed by Bob Cooper on ATR - once and I think I probably spoke an awful lot of gibberish!

You'd have thought they'd have got that new reporter Steve (forgot his surname) to give u an interview at Yarmouth after Rochesis won.
Still to be interviewed by Sir Bob aint so bad.

I've seen myself in one or two paddocks on racecourses during TV coverage and in the crowd at Headingley during a day nighter on sky but nothing more glamourous than that.

I sadly had to decline as I was leading her up and she was a little camera shy! Also I had another one to run 2 races later.

Not by design - like a number of my raceday work colleagues, I and they can occasionally be seen loitering around in the background, trying to appear as if we're working and not deep in consideration of the 12-1 shot in the 3.30!

Once, in the gym at my school in the mid 1990's singing...

One Jespar Carrot,
there's only one Jespar Carrot
one Jespar Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrot
there's only one Jespar Carrot

...as part of the title credits for "One Jespar Carrot".

The whole school was there, but I am tall and was near the front.

Feel free to PM me, if you would like a signed photo!

As an ex-Chippendale, I've lost count of the number of times I've been on telly. On top of that, I once won the Krypton Factor and had a non-speaking role in a Bond film.

When I was a know-it-all student I appeared on a certain Channel 4 quiz show - can't remember what it was called but I believe there was somewhere between 14 and 16 contestants taking part. I didn't distinguish myself and was knocked out by an obnoxious woman who is now part of the Eggheads quiz team.

As an angelic choirboy, part of the county youth choir, I appeared a few times on the local news in the late 80s/early 90s, miming in the back row to various Christmas carols. That brings me on to my other claim to fame, in that one of my fellow squeaky choirboys was the blond one out of G4

I also appeared dressed as a werewolf in the Soccer AM studio, but I won't go into that...

That must be Judith Keppell, HJ? She seems a bit po-faced to me, as do all the eggheads. (No, no, Brian. Not the Keppell in Wilson, Keppell and Betty... )
