I noticed today the ITV morning programme came up with yet another gimmick, a 'professional punter' called Tom Collins.

The guy looks like he's only just started shaving and his background, he tells us, is that he started on a BHA programme some years ago before being employed by the RP.

I have to say, I have never heard of him.

Didn't they have another 'professional punter' on giving tips a few years ago? How did that go? Not well, I presume, otherwise I imagine he'd still be there causing prices to plummet right left and centre.

I didn't watch all of the programme but did they ditch the Timeform star of the day and ratings running along the bottom of the screen in a feature race?

Good to see Jason Weaver back in decent form but not really looking forward to 'Cesca's grating voice later in the day.
