I've got to say something about Johnny Ward who usually covers the less glamorous Irish tracks for RTV.I think he is an astute observer of Irish Racing with the ability to get owners and trainers to talk freely.Today before the First race at Killarney he said nobody on course who had seen Young Churchill could back him because of how badly he was sweating up. He was 11/8favourite at the time and ultimately finished 5th.
I know that's one observation but I have been paying attention to him for the last 18 months and he is well worth listening to.
