My opinion is maybe tainted because I used to work with one or two of the people on your list.

I'm not saying I don't think they had any ability, but they certainly couldn't tell me personally anything I don't already know, especially in the what is, or isn't, a value bet department.

There's a lot more knowledge in the betting industry, which I moved onto, and more still among certain punters I've met along the way, and the better they were the lower the profile they kept.

But the racing media isn't targetted at a cantankerous 62yo former member of the profession and may do a great job for most of its audience.

That's why I mute it - my deployment of the mute button is a win-win for both them and me.
