At the Start
Did anyone see the start of this race yesterday.
20 horses trying to walk in to the start, sandwiched between a hurdle and a fence. The rubber band fixed between starting mechanism and a steel peg in front of the fence.
Starter a bit slow, false start, starter waving flag, assistant waving red flag.
Horses had to regroup between said hurdle and fence.
Starters-assistant trying frantically to stretch the rubber band back into place. Starter lost his patience and the assistant simply let go of the rubber band - race started, although jockeys and horses seemed surprised at having to get going.
