Dispatches: Undercover Copper

"Using secret cameras, an experienced policewoman spent four months undercover while serving as a police officer to conduct this revelatory investigation. Gaining unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to officers, her secretly-filmed footage unmasks a disturbing lack of respect and care for members of the public and incidences of dereliction of duty."

If you never caught this when it was on T.V here's your chance, Leicestershire Constabulary in shocking footage. 48mins.

I suspect there'll be nothing on there that surprises me. Mr GG used to work for the police, I know things that'd make your hair stand on end :(

there was trouble with chelsea fans at united yesterday

a police van was noted driving around with the policeman in the front seat doing a variety of handsigns (not the please cross the road variety) at anyone and everyone they thought they may get a reaction out of

our boys in blue love a good punch up or high speed chase its a great shame they cant seem to sepnd much time doing what they are paid to

Surely if that wre the case there'd be no shortage of mobile camera phones taking pictures of the police? I know most police officers aren't the sharpest tools in the box but surely they wouldn't be that stupid?

A very good friend of mine is a policeman & he drink drives all the time, he was pulled over once but his warrant card is a get out of jail free card. but then again corrpution fo all levels goes on in al industries, all i can say to my friend is you wont get away with it if you have a carsh or worse, hit soemone.

do

if u are referring to my post

there were many police vechiles driving around yesterday nothing unusual in that
during a match

the time u got a camera or phone out the hand motions would have been finished

There's a copper who lives across the road from me, he's a proper decent bloke with 2 small kids but when he or his m8's are on traffic duty they just go to his house, it happens on that programme to so it must be the norm.

I have a "friend" (for want of a better word - he's a friend of my flatmate but I think he's an ar*e) who is a policeman. He's possibly the most bigoted, foulmouthed and aggressive person I've ever met and I have had fights with him on more than once occasion throughout school and university.

His trademark his getting stinking drunk at weekends when off duty then getting into fights in pubs/clubs. He then flashes his warrant card just before he gets dumped into the meat wagon and off he trots, scot-free.

This has happened on at least 4 occasions I know of.

Prince, if you're suggesting the police's antagonising of fans was normal matchday behaviour, surely word would have got round the fans and they'd have their phone cameras waiting. Surely it would give fans great pleasure to catch the police in the act.

i was refering to 2 coppers in one van on a particular day whether they do it on a regular basis i have no idea

and who would be interested in catching them in the act

its not like the general public have any great faith or respect now days for the inepts we call a police force

how many have been caught speeding including one doing 155 mph but nothing happens to them they still keep their licences and their jobs

Anyone who dislikes the police would like to catch them in the act and send the pictures to the tabloids.

I don't believe police getting off with speeding happens across the country. I've seen several cases reported in the media about successful prosecutions of police officers breaking the law even in the line of duty (which I think should be treated very sympathetically).

In the line of duty is another kettle of fish entirely - it's ridiculous to expect a copper to be able to perform his job to the level required if they have to keep to speed limits while chasing crims!

Yes, but if they're involved in an accident in doing so they usually end up in court.

It's a very difficult one as there's often a very innocent victim (and relatives) to consider.
