How good is that Italian chap? He could have won on his own I think. Another really good series and deserved winners.

I actually got a question correct tonight, but you are right, the Italian feller carries his team (Corpus Christie, Oxford). The other team never got going,

Where do we place ourselves between the two teams? I usually get a lot higher than the losers and somewhat below the winners until they get to the quarter-finals, when the bloody Science and Physics questions knacker me. Sometimes I guess, and it's amazing how many times 'argon' is the right answer! :D

I flicked over for 5 mins and was chuffed that I got the chinese lantern / gooseberry question right . Those guys are amazing . Pete Postlethwaite to present the prize , Nice touch I thought .

Yup, that Italian guy is very good - I saw the semi final against Jesus College, Oxford (I think it was) which was very close & it was only Mariani that got them through. I wanted UCL to win, not least as the Corpus Christi team were a little weird, to say the least - at least UCL seemed near human! They were good in the earlier rounds, too. Did you see the state of the guy on the end for CC - he looked more like Michael J Fox in Teenwolf than anything else! He also did the same as in the semi final - barely answered a question, then kept nodding his head with the answer as if he knew it all along...prat!
