I'm getting one of Hattie's offspring back tomorrow afternoon - they are just a few days over a year old - sadly his owners are divorcing and he's a casualty of that. I'll obviously assess him to make sure he's as they say he is - ie, good with children and other dogs.

They have a five year old little girl who is deaf and the real sadness is that she absolutely adores Archie (and he her) but her mother doesn't want to keep the dog - he was her husband's dog more so than her's.

He has been used to going out to work with his owner, (a builder) and can be left happily in a car.

If anyone feels they could offer him a good, permanent home, please PM me - I'll try and post a photo of him on here over the weekend.

Wish you hadn't put that up - I'm a sucker for any dogs! Sadly 3 greyhounds are enough even though OH would swap them all for a Weimeraner. I'll ask around here.

Incidently, I met a lovely Weimeraner cross lurcher (dark grey/blue in colour) - a really nice cross - the guy, who is my horse dentist, plans to crosss her with a greyhound(maybe mine!) to get more of a lurcher type.

Well, I'd just like to say a very, very big thank you to Troods, who has just effected a smooth and hopefully trouble-free re-homing for Archie Weimaraner.

Arch has just been collected by a couple that Troods used to work with, both vets, one of which grew up with Weimaraners. They have a delightful 3yo little girl who even bears an uncanny resemblance to Archie's 'first' little girl and another baby on the way, so a small puppy was not really an option for them. Most of the hard work is done on Arch and they are clearly sensible folk who will ensure that he's going to be a much-loved family pet.

Honestly, you couldn't have written a better script!

So thank you again, Troods.

PS Nenad saw Maggie and laughed and said she was just 'your type' of horse!!!

I am really pleased I was hoping to see a positive outcome from this.
We have a dog already, he was a rescue dog and given a home by my mum but then she became ill and passed away, so I was determined to make him the centre of attention for the rest of his days , although it is tempting to have another dog, we would love a greyhound but perhaps when Ben is old and cant go for walks so often we will get him a greyhound pal.

Ive just had a text from Nenad - he is in lurve......................

hopefully i will get to see him at the weekend ( Archie!!)

glad it all went well, Katerina is a star, and im sure they wil be best friends before very long.

(and yes, he knows i love cobs!!)

 As Arch was very much his owner's dog, I could see that Nenad was definitely going to be a very good substitute .... think Tara will have some competition there!!
