Gone But Not Forgotten
For those of you who didn't see the facebook post:
The hosting company upgraded the php version on the server to a version that vbulletin 3.xx did not support, which meant the upgrade I was considering doing at the end of the month had to be done.
There were various other problems that meant it took longer than usual.
I was up till about 4am the last 2 nights trying to sort this so don't think I was ignoring it
When the server based problems were sorted (around 12pm today) I installed the upgrade, however there were numerous errors, which were mainly to do with plugins that we had installed over the years. I have tried to sort a couple, but was taking too long so I have disabled all plugins for the time being, as at least now the forum is up, and people can use it.
You might notice the forum goes offline or you get .php errors over the next few days/weeks as I try to fix the problems, and reinstall the important plugins.
I was going to write a guide to the new features at some point before upgrading, however, obviously that hasn't happened, so feel free to nose around and play with things.
One of the features some of you might be interested in is hosting your blogs with us, rather than using some of the popular ones, we are highly ranked in google, we get indexed usually within hours, if not minutes, feel free to have a look around and create one, I can easily delete stuff if you go wrong.
The CMS etc will need updating but I'm going to have a break this afternoon and come back to this either this evening or tomorrow, at the moment I think code is burned onto my eyeballs as thats all I can see.
If you get stuck please post below, and any errors please do the same.
Although it looks different, the basic forum functions are essentially the same, just things might be in different paces than you are used to.
If anyone fancies using their photoshop skills to create a new banner for the site feel free to message me
Sorry for the downtime.
