What a **** up that was . Will Nicholls be shouting at the jockey/starter or both. Hard not to think he would have gone very close if he had got off on terms.

If ever there was one for the notebook........

Hadn't they already had a false start and been sent back. If so i have to blame the jockey

I backed Urbain De Sivola.

Even at the false start the jockey appeared to be at pains to ensure he didn't go off on terms. At first I thought I was being unkind and that maybe he had been caught out by the occasion but hen they went back and turned round again he was still holding the horse well back and even when the others moved forward he sat still. It was only after they were three strides into the race he asked the horse to start.

Maybe he was riding to instructions?

When he did set off so far back (I reckon 15 lengths off the second-last horse) I expected him to hack round for a circuit then pull up.

I couldn't believe it when he did an Arazi round the outside to get into contention and he was still pulling clear of the fourth up the hill.

Expect him to get beat next time as the dogs will be barking his name.
