At the Start
I believe when a thread has reached 3 pages it starts to look tired, hence this follow-up to “Walkers Crisps.”
As I strolled down the crisp section of Morrisons, still ‘spitting feathers’ over Walker’s overlooking of my clever, inspired and novel flavour entries, it suddenly occurred to me that they had shot themselves badly in the foot.
My reasoning went like this: like me many people would have sent their favourite flavours, hoping for something different on the crisp shelf. Their hopes and aspirations dashed by some predictable decisions made by the Walkers judging panel. More damaging for Walkers was the heralding of ‘winners’ which meant every other entrant became a ‘loser’, and this judgement is reinforced every time one saunters past the crisp shelf.
Anyway, in my latest stage of Programme: Never shall a Walkers crisp cross my front door, I shall be writing to the supermarket chains expounding my critical views of the above situation.
