"He sustained a ligament injury at Cheltenham and hasn't made the recovery we'd hoped for," said Byrnes on Sunday, "so we have decided to give him the year off."
The devil is in the detail as they say,maybe it was the rest of 2010 he was referring to,remember who we're talking about here.

Really disappointing news, I hope he makes it back the next season.
Sporting Life gives more information:
"We've decided to give him a whole year off, he won't come back into training until July next year," said Byrnes.
"He picked up the injury during race, he ran with it for a couple of furlongs.
"He's far too good to risk but because he's a young horse we're going to give him plenty of time to get over it."
