Bought one today and it's crap, gonna take it back to Argos Sunday and upgrade.
The one I bought is a Mikomi M6219 640 X 480pixels video capture with integrated mic. Seems no one can hear me even with vol on max and the picture, admittedly in artificial light indoors, is awful and nothing like the pictures I am receiving.

Anyone with any recommendations ? Should I go for 600 x 800 and a headset so as the mic is near the mouth for instance,

Make sure you turn it off would be my number one bit of advice (speaking from experience)

Embarrasing moment Martin ?

When I checked the catalogue the webcam was advertised as 800 x 600 whereas the spec on the packaging was 640 x 480 so on that basis I took it back and got a refund no problem.

Now got a Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000 including image clarity in any light and although a bit more expensive I am well pleased with it. Further to that it comes with a free headset which because it was listed separately on my docket was given to me separately. When I got home I discovered the free one actually comes contained in the box with the webcam so actually received two free ones
