Three winners for the blogski yesterday. I wish I'd had one or two more, but at least I didn't disgrace myself.
Starting off with the big one.today, the Welsh National.
GIT MAKER'S tendency to race unfluently, hitting the odd one would be a concern for him. The positives are if you take out the future Gold Cup winner, he would have been a handsome winner of the Kim Muir, plus that solid form in the Scottish National. I think he's got some engine under the bonnet. One could argue he's been plotted for this particular race for a while. In this deep calibre of event against these lot, I could see him drifting to a fair SP. It's a very competitive race though, so he doesn't carry massive confidence, for the reasons I've put above. What form he's in today, and whether he can get in some sort of rhythm, will determine his fate.
Leopardstown
3.00 KINTURK KALANISI had some nice form in handicap hurdles and ran well enough once or twice over fences, including behind Three Card Brag, so is entitled to improve now as a second season chaser, especially if you put a line through his final efforts of last season, which I'm happy to do. In terms of his handicap mark, he looks far from badly handicapped. I see him running well today at a price.
Here's some other each way fancies as follows. I might do some reasoning for these once I've woken up. But if I don't, rest assured, I fancy them anyway.
Chepstow
2.10 KING Of THE LAKE
Kempton
1.20 AUDACIOUS ANNIE
1.55 HANSARD
2.30 RYANS ROCKET
3.07 BECTIVE ABBEY
Good luck all today.
