Has anybody watched all six seasons of Vikings? When it first started I watched it whilst waiting for a new series of Game of Thrones to start and never liked it as much when Ragnar departed. I found it inferior to GOT’s until the last disastrous season of that which I’m still traumatised by. I got up to season five but have just bought season 6 to binge watch in the new year. I felt that it was unfinished business. It’ll keep me occupied during my January hibernation. There was a very sweet film on Film Four tonight called The Quiet Girl. It was Oscar nominated but lost out to All Quiet on the Western Front. It’s the sort of rather gentle rite of passage film that I like but probably best not watched if you want something to cheer you up. Beautifully filmed and acted. I’ve discovered that another rite of passage film from a few years ago, The Last Winter, is on utube. People were talking about it on Facebook and I realised that other people had loved it, too.
