For me it's money or gift vouchers, but especially money. I really dislike receiving it as a present. To me it means the giver is saying "I couldn't be @rsed to think about what you would really like so this is what your worth." I'd rather get nothing.

I do like when someone buys me something unusual even if I don't like it or wouldn't use it. It tells me they've thought about me and maybe even tried to understand me, even if they end up mistaken.

What Christmas pressies turn you off?

Hard cash is now the preferred present for many people especially when it comes to weddings. All my friends have got married over the last few years and cash is definitely king.

Colin, I have been wearing nowt but plain black socks for years (colourblind so it saves embarassment) yet every year I get sodding multicoloured jobbies!!

Anyone who doesn't like getting cash this Christmas, please send it to me. I'll happily swap it for any novelty slippers/jokey mugs/3-in-1 screwdriver sets that come my way. Thank you.

Handkerchiefs would be second on my list. I haven't used them since I was at school. They must be the most unhygienic thing you can use.

If God had meant us to use hankies he wouldn't have allowed us to invent cuffs.

I hate it when I think I've made a discreet dab at my nose in this colder weather, and find my glove adorned with what looks like a snail trail. :shy:
