Personally I think it's racist and very offensive

Not that I think it makes a big difference (but thought I would mention it as on another forum some do think it changes things) the 2 DJ's making the call are black..

Yet another instance of backlash against outsourcing to India has been reported. And this time its laced with hate, sexc
ism and racism.

American radio jockeys Star and Buc Wild — apparently big names in their field — in an attempt to be 'funny' broadcast an abusive call that was placed to an Indian call-centre worker.

The 'call' was aired in their morning show on Philadelphia's Power 99 FM radio.

In the tape that was played, the caller starts with placing an order for mail order beads, questions the executive if the call has been outsourced to India and then proceeds to abuse her.

Apparently, the wakeup crew at the radio station thought it was hilarious, but it has provoked outrage amongst Indians back home and those living in the US.

They called her a bitch three times, and a 'dirty rat eater' twice. Just because their call for hair beads for their 'white' daughter (quote) was outsourced to India. I'd like to think that the Indian Govt. would pull all its' funded students from US universities and close its' embassy for a while.

It's ignorant, it's dumb, it's highly offensive, it's undeniably racist, sexist, and both nationally and individually insulting, and I would hope the operator who suffered from these two thickheads sues them from here to oblivion - which, for a start, is where they and their station should be consigned.

Global racial harmony? Not with American dinosaurs like these, white or black.
