After the FISH debate :D mine as got to be LAMB (no jokes please SOLERINA either :D ) I went to TESCO this morning they were selling a leg of WELSH LAMB fresh £16 wow!!! its an expensive treat now days...........

but you can make several different dishes with LAMB................

PORK would be my second choice roast leg with stuffing................

GAMMON boiled must be next................

BEEF or STEAK with mushrooms

Then all the POULTRY.....................

Chicken (no stuffing ta)

Eat far too much bacon and also like a bit of minced beef (especially a nice homemade Cottage Pie)

Ardross, your use of emoticons seems to imply you think there is a right or wrong answer to this question.

Tell me you're not going down that elitist road.

You'll be saying Davies doesn't know a claret from a burgundy (old Fawlty Towers joke) next.

Pork followed by chicken - then Duck, but none of them with any sauces ( eg a l'orange ) - I like my food un messed about with!! I'm not a great fan of lamb unless its hot - it is really fatty, and that puts me off it a bit....

veal and lamb for me

and steaks particulalry like the dish ian states tournedoes rossini

but for some reason i have rarely enjoyed eating roast beef

Rack of lamb (well done) with a green peppercorn stuffing crust, creamy garlic potatoes, buttery asparagus and carrots (though I can take or leave the carrots), made by my good wife's delicate hands at least once a month. It's usually nicer (and cheaper) at this time of the year - new spring lamb has far less flavour, and a rack of lamb, even well done, should never be tough.
