Well, take out the two oldest runners (one 10yo, one 8yo) and the rest were first- or second-season novices who had probably been plotted up for a year.

I think what it lacked in numbers it more than made up for in potential and intrigue.

But I suppose the real litmus test is the extent to which they go on to frank the form.
